Description

Get out your pretty fabric (or not, you can do a “manly” version too) and matching and contrasting thread, this one is a fantastic machine embroidery design to get playing with colors! There is one applique heart with a raw edge finish – trim carefully!!

This mug rug will fit into the 5×7 hoop and features beautiful heart applique along with some stitched hearts too. This in the hoop mug rug has the satin stitch finish, so we are able to make it into a nice shape instead of just a rectangle. The back will look as pretty as the front!

SUPPLIES

Supplies:
5×7 hoop
Batting to fit into the hoop
Background fabric – front and back to fit the hoop
5×5 fabric for the heart applique – it helps if you put some fusible backing on it because there are no quilting stitches to keep it all flat – you don’t have to do this, but it might help make it look better – I didn’t have any issues though.
