I am introducing the Halloween embroidery design. Whew, this has been a very busy work week. I am happy but tired! How busy have you been this week?

I have been working hard on a new wall hanging called Dresden Halloween Town! To save time, I practiced sewing Halloween fabric with my Accuquilt cutter. I made a small Dresden plate. As I looked at the pieces, I thought they looked like a house shape—it even looked like a haunted house!

A Halloween embroidery design has been in my mind for years! Without sewing the edges into points, I could add an applique roof and stitch some doors and windows. Oh, and of course, I had to add a full moon, ghosts, bats, creepy eyes and a spider web between the houses. Once I got started, it was impossible to stop! SEW much fun. I set aside my other projects (I am a bit behind) to finish the design. I stitched the design, fixed any mistakes, put all the sizes together, and edited a video. That’s why I was so busy!!!

I stitched out the largest size, making a few small changes to make sure everything matched when sewn together. I missed a few key points, but I fixed them.

While I was finishing the last block, I decided to create a step-by-step video showing how I did the applique and stitching. I released the video at the same time as the design, so it is there for you to watch and stitch!

Here is where you can get this amazing embroidery design.
