Is is spring yet? I look forward to the spring with a little warmth in the air and new springtime flowers and of course tons of embroidery flower patterns. The crocus is one of the first flowers to show up along with daffodils and of course dandelions (lol). I have a few purple crocuses that pop up in my gardens, but I have seen yellow crocus and a pink one. A crocus can be white, a pink/purple color, light purple and even blue. So many shades of purple, and the lines in the flowers are usually a darker shade or white. I think a purple and white crocus is gorgeous! In my research, I saw a yellow crocus with purple lines – different, but still beautiful.

I had fun creating this beautiful flower embroidery pattern of a crocus tote with 6 different blocks so you can get creative. You could make the entire tote bag with the crocus flower in different colors! you could also make the gorgeous quilting blocks in a bright color that matches your crocus color of choice. Don’t be afraid to try a new thread color or a bright bold background fabric – or even bold fabric for the top and bottom of the bag. You could also sneak a bold fabric into your tote as the lining!! Add pockets to the lining in different colors too! Anything goes!

Each block stitches out in no time so you can have your crocus tote done in a few hours. It’s really fun to watch the quilting blocks stitch out and the crocus design come to life, one color at a time.
