Gingerbread MOM Mug Rug goes perfectly with the whole gingerbread family!!  This awesome mug rug will fit into the 5×7 hoop on your embroidery machine.

I used felt for mine, but you can use any type of fabric that you want – they all look good!

Everyone loves the gingerbread man! Gingerbread Man needs a wife, so people in the OML Embroidery University group created this one!  I have edited the file so that everything is connected properly and will stitch out smoothly.   For those of you that don’t have the software or simply want to have a connected smooth file, this one is for you.

The embroidered mug rug design will fit into a 5×7 hoop. Gingerbread Mom Mug Rug is so adorable and is a perfect addition to the gingerbread family.  Try out some different fabric scraps for the scarf, and match them to the Gingerbread Man too!  Make a set and give them away for Christmas – they are all a quick stitch and everyone will love them!

Think outside the box and use silver metallic thread for the sparkle and outline of the eyes. You could also use a variegated thread for the outside satin stitches (if you have a brown/beige set that would be perfect, but I think most colors will work), and think bright colors for the scarf too!

SUPPLY LIST:

WSS stabilizer – use the fabric looking kind – the plastic kind will not hold up.

5×7 hoop

batting to fit into the hoop

fabric or felt 6×6 for both the front AND back

4×2 scrap of fabric for the hair bow (IDEA:  use the same bright fabric as the gingerbread man so they make a set!

I used black, white, red and light pink machine embroidery thread in this design – basic colors.
