I had so much fun creating these Halloween Designs.  This design has lots of applique pieces and is perfect for using up Halloween scrap fabrics or solid colors!

SUPPLIES: Correct hoop size for design

water-soluble stabilizer to fit the hoop.

batting, to fit the hoop

Fabric scraps or one piece of fabric for the triangles beside each coffin.

Black, grey, or any other color for the coffins – or you can use a different fabric for each coffin.

Instructions:  (see video for more detailed instructions)

Hoop wss in the hoop size that you want to use.  The first step is the placement stitch.  Put down the batting and stitch it down.  Stitch placement line for the triangles.  Place your fabric pieces or one piece of fabric down for the triangles.  stitch the tack down stitches, then trim.  Do the same for the coffins and the centerpiece.  Once all of the details have stitched out, look for the next step which is the outline shape of the mug rug.  Before that stitches, place the back fabric on the back of the hoop facing down.  Stitch the outline stitches and then trim the back fabric.  Change your bobbin thread to match the satin stitches on the outside of each triangle.  Change your bobbin thread again to match the coffin satin stitches.
