Gingerbread girl Mug Rug goes perfectly with the whole gingerbread family!!  This awesome mug rug will fit into the 5×7 hoop on your embroidery machine, and is a quick stitch out!

I used felt for all of mine, but you can use any type of fabric that you want – they all look good!  Gingerbread Baby and Gingerbread Girl (or Mrs. Gingerbread) are both quick stitches, and looks fantastic!

Everyone loves the gingerbread man! Gingerbread baby and girl are perfect for a mug rug, and the whole Gingerbread Family is so much fun to stitch!

Think outside the box and use silver metallic thread for the sparkle and outline of the eyes. You could also use a variegated thread for the outside satin stitches (if you have a brown/beige set that would be perfect, but I think most colors will work)

WSS (water-soluble stabilizer)

5×7 hoop batting to fit into the hoop

fabric or felt 6×6 for both the front AND back

I used black, white, red and light pink machine embroidery thread in this design – basic colors.

Scraps of fabric for the scarf on the Gingerbread girl.
