BLANK HEART IN THE HOOP MUG RUG is for a 5×7 hoop, with a little bit of sewing to close.

This mug rug is a quick stitch with only a few steps to complete it, but it has lots of room for a personal message!

SUPPLIES:

5×7 hoop

batting to fit the hoop

background fabric to fit the hoop x2 (one for the back)

INSTRUCTIONS

1.  Stitch placement line
2. place batting down.
3. stitch batting tack down stitch
4. trim
5. place fabric down
6. stitch fabric tack down stitch
7. trim
8. stitch the background (try using variegated thread)
9. INSERT YOUR PERSONAL MESSAGE AT THIS STEP
10. place fabric FACE DOWN on TOP of the hoop.
11. Stitch down, and it leaves a space for turning.
12. remove from hoop and trim
13. turn inside out
14. sew or fuse the opening.  DONE!
